Acquisition
These records were donated by SEIU Local 250 to the Labor Archives and Research Center in June of 1991, in the course of the records survey of Bay Area labor unions carried out by Susan Goldstein. SEIU Local 250, located at 240 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco, donated records of their own, as well as records apparently kept formerly by George Hardy. Records of the Civil Service Association of San Francisco (later SEIU Local 400) which were also a part of this accession, are deemed a distinct collection, and described in a separate guide.
Separated Materials
Two photographs were relocated to Photograph Collection 4 (Subjects): Hospital Workers. Fourteen buttons representing various SEIU locals were removed to the Button Collection and are unprocessed at this time.
