Scope and Contents
Series 1, Administrative Records, consists of records produced in the day-to-day operations of the LPWF. These include numerous workshop, education, and outreach materials detailing the LPWF’s support of, and collaboration with, local unions such as the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU), Local 192; Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees (HERE), Local 2; United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBC), Local 22; the Transport Workers Union (TWU), Local 250-A; Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 616; and the Oil, Chemical and Atomic Workers International Union (OCAW). Important work-family issues addressed in series 1 include the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Paid Family Leave (PFL), Paid Sick Days (PSD), flextime, and child care support.
