The Political Activity sub-series contains correspondence and writings pertaining to Anderson's political activism in the peace, labor, and communist movements, including some involvement in the Socialist Party. Also contains documents from his activism on the U.C. Berkeley campus and a variety of published booklets, as well as newspapers and clippings pertaining to House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) hearings, news censorship, and anti-capitalism.
