Scope and Contents
Volume 1 contains color and some black and white slides of 1975 march on Gallo Winery, Lamont strike and arrests, Bakersfield jail, 1972 UFW march, Cesar Chavez campaigning in Coachella, Borjas labor camp in Salinas, Farm Worker Weekend in Los Angeles, Cesar Chavez's 1972 fast at Santa Rita Hall, La Paz (UFW headquarters), living conditions in Salinas and Mexicali, Teatro Campesino with Peter Brook, farmworkers in their homes, images used in a Migrant Ministry slideshow, and unidentified. Includes 17 slides of 1971 UFW demonstration by Chris Sanchez, and many slides by Rick Tejada-Flores, including images of pesticide spraying in 1980, and Los Angeles murals. Also includes photos taken in earlier decades by uncredited photographers.
