This series contains documents relating to arbitration awards. SFHA relied heavily upon arbitration to assist in the collective bargaining process and only secondarily as a way to resolve grievances. The Grievance series contains and original, unsigned copy of the Athearn Award from July 1937 which established the terms of the first contract (SFHA "Athearn Award" folder 3/24).
