Reproductions and translations of sources documenting the activities of Sam Darcy (1905-2005), a Russian-born CPUSA activist who served as District 13 (California, Nevada, Arizona) organizer between 1930 and 1935. Includes materials gathered from Darcy’s papers held by the Tamiment Library at NYU, including reproductions of Darcy's memoirs; translations and notes from research at the RGASPI; as well as transcripts of Cherny’s 1994 and 1996 oral history interviews with Darcy.
