John F. Shelley collection
Scope and Contents
Primarily newspaper clipping scrapbooks and files maintained by Shelley’s office staff, during his career as a state senator, labor leader, U.S. Congressperson and Mayor of San Francisco. Additionally the collection contains campaign literature and ballots, photocopies of private and public bills sponsored by Shelley and Congressional Record speeches and inserts pulled together by the Library of Congress Congressional Information Service.

Paper guide in binder only has summary description for boxes of records. Only partial, out of date, digital copy of guide found, which is missing description of 1964-1967 boxes containing files and Series III, IV and V. Search for up-to-date digital copy of guide needs to be conducted, or these missing parts of digital guide need to be added to the digital copy.
