Abstract

Box 1: Coalition of Labor Union Women (CLUW) stickers--one with blue logo on white, anther reading ""Affirmative Action: It's not reverse discrimination,; it is the reversal of discrimination"" ; 1977 CLUW Convention Materials; various files regarding CLUW, affirmative action, and equal rights for women including: reports, publications, correspondence, flyers, newsletters, bulletins, and pamphlets. A binder of financial statements , mainly from 1988-1992. are also part of the Materials from throughout California and from national organization--mainly from the late 1970s to early 1980s. Many of the records appear to document the East Bay local of CLUW. There are also some folders containing similar types of material from Union WAGE, and the Comparable Worth Project. Box 2: CLUW materials, 1970s-mid-1990s. Includes East Bay local materials as well as statewide local information. The box includes: publications, CLUW conference materials, correspondence, mailings, reports, newsletters, pamphlets, booklets, buttons and medallions of various labor and political issues from the 1970s--all relating to CLUW, women's equality issues, and other things collected by the East Bay Chapter of CLUW. Box 3: CLUW information, constitutions, and correspondence files from East Bay CLUW chapter as well as several other California locals from the 1980s-1990s.
