Scrapbook compiled by Joyce Maupin, union organizer and activist, documenting the strike between the International Association of Machinists (IAM), District Lodge 751 and Boeing Aircraft Company in Seattle, Washington. Contains newspaper clippings from the Seattle Times, Seattle Post-Intelligence, and The Militant from April 29 through September 21, 1948; Picket Line Briefs, volume 1, nos. 2-110, April 23 -September 2, 1948 (incomplete); strike ephemera (flyers, leaflets, etc.); a radio speech transcript by Socialist Workers Party candidate for United States President, Farell Dobbs, broadcast on station KING, Seattle, Washington, August 21, 1948; and the 1944 contract between Boeing Aircraft Company and the IAM.
