The records document a range of the union’s activities, including the period when the local was affiliated with the International Typographers Union (ITU), Mailers Local 18. In 1986, it chose to disaffiliate with the ITU and become Mailers Local 15 of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT), a process that initially led the ITU to put the local in receivership.
