Includes SFSU Institute on Disability grant and project files (most files relate to the NEH Summer Institute, the certificate program in Independent Living services, and the ADA Training Project); planning materials for disability studies conferences and symposia hosted at SFSU; press coverage; reports; and administrative records relating to the founding and early operations of the Institute.
Non-permanent budget files relating to student employment, registration, payroll records, honoraria, individual reimbursements, and travel claims have been discarded from this series.

Availability
Collection is open for research. Access restrictions are placed on material with privacy issues for a specific time period from the date of creation. Access to personal correspondence from third parties is restricted for 20 years from the date of creation or until the death of the author, whichever occurs first, and will be further reviewed at that time. Restrictions are noted at the file level. Contact the University Archives staff for information on access to these files.
